Product Introduction

As a leading China-based lipase manufacturer, supplier, and exporter, WEHENGFOOD produces high-activity lipase through controlled deep fermentation of Aspergillus niger, followed by microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and vacuum freeze-drying. This refined, food-grade lipase is a fat-hydrolyzing enzyme widely used across food processing, leather, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries.

Main Components: Lipase, Glucose
Specification: 10,000–100,000 U/g (customizable)
Appearance: Light yellow powder

Mechanism of Action

Lipase catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides, breaking them down into diglycerides, monoglycerides, glycerol, and free fatty acids. Beyond simple hydrolysis, it also drives esterification, transesterification, and interesterification of other water-insoluble esters. Notably, this lipase preparation also exhibits secondary enzymatic activities, including phospholipase, lysophospholipase, cholesterol esterase, and acyl-peptide hydrolase activity, making it a versatile processing aid.

Functions and Usages

Functions

Lipase catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides, breaking them into diglycerides, monoglycerides, glycerol, and free fatty acids. It also drives esterification, transesterification, and interesterification of other water-insoluble esters, and exhibits secondary enzymatic activities including phospholipase, lysophospholipase, cholesterol esterase, and acyl-peptide hydrolase activity — making it a multifunctional processing aid rather than a single-purpose enzyme.

Applications

1. Dairy Processing
Enhances the characteristic aroma of cheese, cream, and margarine, which are further used in cakes, ice cream, and other dairy-based desserts.

2. Flour Improvement
Hydrolyzes triglycerides in flour to increase monoglyceride content, improving dough stability, delaying staling, and extending shelf life of baked goods.

3. Low-Fat Food Production
Partially decomposes fat during processing, supporting manufacture of fat-free meat products and low-fat/reduced-fat foods.

4. Alcohol & Beverage Fermentation
Generates cheese-like aromatic notes during fermentation, improving flavor complexity in alcoholic beverages.

FAQ

Q1: What is the standard activity range for your lipase, and can it be customized?
Our lipase is available from 10,000 U/g up to 100,000 U/g, and we can customize activity to match your specific formulation requirements.

Q2: What is lipase used for in food processing?
It’s primarily used to improve flavor in dairy products, extend shelf life in baked goods, support low-fat food production, and enhance aroma in fermented alcoholic beverages.

Q3: What is the recommended dosage for lipase?
The recommended dosage is 0.1%–0.3%, though the exact amount depends on your substrate and production conditions.

Q4: How should lipase be stored?
Store in a cool, dry environment away from light; the product carries a 12-month shelf life under these conditions.

Q5: Is your lipase compliant with international food safety standards?
Yes — our lipase meets GB 1886.174-2016, US FCC, and USP/NF standards, with heavy metal and microbiological testing performed per GB 4789 and GB 5009 methods.

Q6: Do you offer OEM/customized packaging for lipase orders?
Yes, we offer customizable packaging and activity specifications for bulk B2B orders — contact our team to discuss your requirements.
